THE WHITE WATER

White Water – a village in the mountains, where for years crowds of believers flocked to beg help from the miraculous statue of the Virgin Mary, later a solitude inhabited only by interned nuns condemned to wait here for their last journey, to eternity. A play about a neglected period of Czech history, the history of women’s religious orders under communist totalitarianism and the position of women in the Catholic Church.
